A friend of mine is going through a difficult time with many areas of her life being challenged.  She is not alone.  I have heard from many people who are struggling in one or more areas of their life.  I have also recently found myself at a major crossroads and the word surrender keeps popping into my mind.  For someone who thinks she’s in control more than she is, the word surrender causes my heart to skip a beat.  It’s not easy to surrender!

When you had a picture of what you thought your life would be like at any given time and when you look around and it doesn’t look anything like your picture, it’s hard to swallow.  But the thing is the only way out of the disappointment, the obsession, the worry or the anger is truly to surrender to the moment, to what is right in front of you.  This doesn’t mean it will stay that way and you’ll never get what you want, be where you want to be or even feel happy and joyful.  But the only way to get to where you want to go is to surrender to where you are right now.  It can alleviate the discomfort, the pain that is in your heart.

What would your life be like if you surrendered and trusted the Divine to show you the way?  How much easier do you think life would be?  Much easier!  When you truly surrender, you will know it because your life will flow with ease and harmony and you will feel at peace.

I know when I remember to let go and allow my Higher Self and Spirit to guide me, I can go about my daily life without worrying about my future or how I think I want it to be.  Imagining your life the way you want it to be or how you would like things to turn out is a great practice.  But the KEY to this is that once you visualize your wants and needs, you simply MUST let go of the outcome.  Trust the Universe to show you the way.  Life is in each moment, not in an elusive tomorrow!

This is a tough concept to grasp.  It sounds good in theory, but until you put into practice ways to help you stay connected, you will continue to try to make things happen the way you think it needs to be.  Surrendering and giving up control for me is still a process.  I remember and forget and remember again.  I have found that for me my need for control comes from a place that I’m not safe or it’s not going to be the way I want it to be.  When I remember I am always safe and Divinely connected and guided, I feel my shoulders drop and my whole body relax.

Lately I’ve been imaging a bouquet of balloons and placing any worry or pain I am experiencing into each balloon and letting them go!  This has been very healing for me.

What do you do that helps you release your worries and trust the process?

Hi there! This post could not be written much better!
Reading through this post reminds me of my previous roommate!
He continually kept preaching about this. I’ll send this post to him.
Fairly certain he will have a very good read.

      Thanks for sharing!
